This home was described in  "Luxury
Homebuilder" Magazine as "
blurring the
lines between art and architecture".
The lead in an Atlanta Journal -
Constitution article was "
Artist creates
on Alpharetta hillside".

It is located on slightly under 1 acre in a
subdivision in a northern suburb of
Atlanta, on a lot that lies private from its
neighbors.  Because of the lay of the
land, the lot feels much bigger.

The site contains dramatic rock
formations and a 26 foot waterfall that is
partially natural and partially man made.
The site served as the primary inspiration
for portions of the design.

Designed and built by Randy Schwartz, from a floor
plan sketch that was developed while meditating on
this unique and difficult site.
This home is a masterful exercise in improvisational
architecture, utilizing a fluid and interpretive
process that allowed the home to evolve in design
and execution to take advantage of opportunities
and context as it was being built.

It is worth noting that this home was built on a site
that has 125 feet of total elevation change without
removing a single tree, bringing in or taking out a
single load of dirt during construction
.
The rear of the lot has golf course
frontage. The house cannot be seen
from the street.
